Upcoming Sessions

Our sessions are scheduled for the third (or sometimes fourth) Tuesday of every month from 6:30pm to 8pm. Every 90 minute session of Still Death starts with an educational presentation on comparative anatomy, evolution and other natural history topics using skulls from our collection. The rest of the time participants are free to use the skulls brought that evening as references for drawing, painting and other artistic endeavors. Here are some of our upcoming topics (please note that they may be subject to change):

August 15, 2017 – Dog Days of Summer – come draw a collection of canids, and compare the skulls of different domestic breeds! FB event page

October 17, 2017 – Halloween Animals –¬†We have a special holiday-themed selection of skulls for this month’s spooky occasions. You can even wear your Halloween costume for the occasion! Facebook event page
November 14 –¬†Broken is Beautiful – This month you’ll get to draw skulls with varying amounts of damage, challenging your skills as an artist as you explore angles and shapes not normally encountered. Facebook event page
December 19 – Skull Potpourri – I’ll be bringing some skulls that haven’t gotten much session time yet, either because they didn’t fit previous themes or I just got them. Facebook event page
